Reflective Narrative
In this course I was able to learn more deeply about the many aspects of my major's culture and also apply various research methods to my daily work in order to succeed. We were able to meet with various alumni to hear about their career paths after graduation. There was also some focus on understanding how our major can act as a great supplement to any job path as our society is expanding into a global arena. In addition to talking about what major learning outcomes would be, we also learned how to research at the library. We met with a librarian who showed up how to use the databases and search engines available to us at CSUMB. This would later become important when beginning our Capstone work. Finally our teachers too us on a field trip to a graduate school in Monterey, MIIS, which is world famous and definitely somewhere we can go after our undergrad in order to continue on a path to language mastery.
