JAPN 404: Advanced Japanese Presentation Communication
This course aims to develop an advanced level of academic communication to finalize research projects using appropriate research methods. Students analyze and synthesize their research findings to orally present and to write academic papers using APA style. This course is a companion course for WLC 400 (Major Capstone).
Reflective Narrative
JAPN 404 accompanies my Capstone class, supplying tools for me to complete my project effectively in Japanese. Through our textbook we learned step by step how to write academically in Japanese in order to write our final paper. Additionally we also learned how to read graphs in Japanese which was essential because our Capstone requires us to analyze data in Japanese using graphs. This class is taught completely in Japanese which helps to put me in the right state of mind to write my Japanese version of my Capstone's powerpoint, data summaries and essay. Below you will see examples of my work on learning conjunctions and how to make conclusions from my textbook and also an exercise where I read pie charts similar to what I used in my final Capstone.
Example Work:
Textbook: Conjunctions
Textbook: Conclusions
